Saikhom Mirabai Chanu is a female Weightlifter in India. She won the Gold Medal in the 48 KG category held at Anaheim, USA.

Saikhom Mirabai Chanu was born and brought up in Imphal East, Manipur district, India. He was born on 8 August 1994. Psychom had earlier won several medals at the Commonwealth Games. She won a silver medal in the 48 kg weightlifting category at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. During the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the gold medal was won by another Indian, Khumucham Sanjita.
Mirabai Chanu qualified for the 2016 Olympics, but failed to finish the event as she could not lift any of her three attempts in the queen and jerk section. After the loss of The Lympics, he started working hard and set a goal for gold. At the 2017 World Weightlifting Championships, she won the gold medal by lifting a world record of 194 kg (85 kg snatch and 105 kg clean and jerk). The 2017 World Weightlifting Championships was held in Anaheim, CA, USA. He made the whole country proud by winning gold for the country.
