Shankar Shanmugam is an Indian film filmmaker (Director). He is considered a top line filmmaker in the past historical backstories of Indian cinema. S. Shankar, who started his career in Tamil cinema in 1993, rose to fame with his back-to-back supperhit films in the late 21st century and much earlier. As a result of his hardworking character, S. S. Shankar started his career as an assistant to directors like SA Chandrasekhar and Pavitran. S. a. As Chandrasekhar’s assistant, his first film was Jai Shiv Shankar (1990), produced by renowned actor Rajesh Khanna.
His first film as a director was Gentleman, a Tamil film released in 1993. He made his debut in Hindi cinema with Anil Kapoor starrer Nayak (2001). Some of his directed ventures are Indian, Tamil, Denim, Shivaji, Robotic (meanwhile renamed Antiran, Nanban, I) and so on.
